Care for your stone

Once your granite is installed, there are a few things you will need to do periodically to care for your stone. Below is a list of recommendations for cleaning and caring for your stone.

• Clean with an all-purpose cleaner and towel. Can use triple zero steel wool for water spots and mild blemishes.

• Apply a stone/granite wax to add shine.

• Apply granite/stone sealer every 6 months - preferably a water-based sealer. It is important to apply a sealer to maintain and protect the surface from stains and bacteria that can accumulate in the pores of the stone. Apply a small amount with a microfiber cloth to small sections and buff out 30 seconds later. (Note: quartz does not require any sealing).
